• Lake Superior College Facilities Committee Member 1997 – present.

• Coordinator of International Wood Firing Conference and Workshop. Performed organizing, planning, scheduling and many other tasks associated with coordinating an international conference. Lake Superior College. Summer 2007.

• Recipient of Lake Superior College Faculty Award for Excellence. Fall 2006.

• China trip presentation at Lake Superior College. 1 hour power point presentation about 2006 China teaching trip to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, April 27, 2006.

• Attended China program “China Facts and Views” Mesabi Range Community and Technical College, Virginia MN. April 18, 2006.

• Teaching trip to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou, China. Provided ceramics instruction for Chinese students, introduced Raku firing, initiated glaze chemistry, performed 2 hour lecture/presentation to school, produced work for exhibit and offered technical support for their ceramics studio. February 17 through March 12, 2006.

• Coordinated community committee meetings to organize summer 2007 wood firing workshop. Spring 2006.

• Conducted Cross disciplinary workshop with Supervisory Management Instructor Mike Pflepsen for Lake Superior College Supervisory Management program. Students enrolled in SMGT1535, Creative Problem Solving (3 credits). Facilitated collaborative ceramic coil project demonstration and construction to support concepts of creativity, team building, intrinsic motivation, the value of collaboration, innovation, problem solving, spontaneity and the value of fun in the work place. November 29th, 2005.

• Vice President of Finance and Administration search Committee Member, Lake Superior College, Fall 2005.

• Attended with Lake Superior College students the Minnesota Community College Fine Arts Festival/Symposium, Rochester Community College, October 19th & 20th 2005.

• Lake Superior College Art Club Advisor. 1996 -2002, 2004-2005.

• Initiated “Thro-a-Thon” bowl making fundraiser to support Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. Lake Superior College has generated as much as $16,000.00 for the food bank in one event. Help facilitate event annually. Winter 1999 to present.

• ”Empty Bowl Committee Member” Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank. 1999 to 2005.

• Donated ceramic vessel to the ART Fund Benefit Gala Exhibition, March 1st through April 1st, 2005.

• Supported full time art teaching position for Wenzhi Zhang. Chinese ceramic sculptor. Assisted her with instruction, grading, and student questions. Spring 2005.

• Karin Kraemer hands on Ceramics Workshop. Lake Superior College, Art Club/ Student Life sponsored event, March 21st and April 1st 2005.

• Librarian Search Committee Member, Lake Superior College, Spring 2005.
